Dale Rimmington is a specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon, specialising in the surgery of the knee and shoulder. He completed his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1995 and went on to complete Advanced Training in Orthopaedic Surgery, obtaining his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (F.R.A.C.S.) in 2004. Dale went on to undertake further specialised education and training under the supervision of world renowned surgeons in Sydney and Canada. Whilst in Sydney he completed fellowship training in both hand and microsurgery, and shoulder and knee surgery. In 2006, Dale worked in Ontario, Canada. It was here at the Fowler-Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic that Dale worked under the supervision of Dr. Peter Fowler a past President of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, as well as other leading surgeons at the Fowler-Kennedy clinic including Prof. Bob Litchfield, Dr. Robert Giffin and Dr. Kevin Willits.
Dale is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association and a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. Dale is a certified independent medical examiner and is registered with the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners. He is a member of the Queensland Shoulder Society.
Dr Rimmington is the Director of Orthopaedics at St Andrew’s War Memorial Private Hospital on Wickham Terrace, Spring Hill and has his practice based here also. In addition he visits Cadogan House at Nundah on the Northside of Brisbane for clinics. He performs surgery at St Andrew’s War Memorial Private Hospital and The Holy Spirit Northside Hospital (Chermside). He is on the trauma roster at the Holy Spirit Northside where he manages general orthopaedic trauma.
Dr Rimmington also works as a Visiting Medical Officer at QEII Hospital and The Prince Charles Hospital.
